Julia Clifton

Ms. Clifton has a degree in Anthropology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and pursued graduate studies in Communication Theory at the University of Illinois, Springfield.  Before landing in New Mexico, Ms. Clifton worked for many years doing contract archaeology in the Illinois, Mississippi, and Ohio River drainages.  Since 1993, she has worked in various capacities with both artifact and archival collections at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, and has been Curator of Archaeological Research Collections since 1998.
